FOOD AND DRINKING WATER

War in Ukraine

From February 24, 2022 to today, our foundation has provided food aid to more than 170,000 Ukrainians by purchasing, packing and handing over humanitarian food packages for people in the regions of Ukraine most affected by military actions by the Russian Federation. Humanitarian aid is still being provided to the needy every day. During the first year of the war, our foundation issued 30,000 liters of drinking water to Ukrainians who did not have access to it.

3000 HUMANITARIAN PACKAGES

  • “WE NEED ANOTHER 3,000 HUMANITARIAN
PACKAGES TO HELP UKRAINIANS, and we need your help”

Our mission is to be where we are most needed. Unfortunately, after a year of brutal attacks by Russia, the population of Ukraine still needs support in the form of humanitarian aid. The main problems faced by residents of Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson regions are lack of food, lack of water (even drinking water), constant interruptions in electricity, lack of gas and heating - these are just a small percentage of the problems that residents of these regions face every day.

One of the most important tasks today is to help those who need it. People who have lost their homes, jobs, peaceful lives, those people who desperately ask for help, and we are looking for a way to do it.

The Foundation team is strong enough to help people in this way, because we have been doing it (non-stop) since the beginning of the war since February 2022. People are suffering from a humanitarian crisis. Our project is 100% consistent with the needs and constraints of these regions.

The project proposed by the Foundation includes: procurement of resources for the assembly of humanitarian aid packages, which will be filled 70% with food products and 30% with hygiene products:
The cost of 1 package is UAH 1,179 which includes 24 food products and 9 hygiene items:Oat flakes 1Canned fish 1Sunflower oil 1Cookies 2Packaged winter wheat 1Pea soup in briquettes 3Canned vegetables 2Tea 2Vermicelli 5Condensed milk 1Canned meat 2Drinking water 3Soap 2Shampoo 1Wet wipes 3Toilet paper 2Toothpaste 1

World hunger situation

As of 2021, about nine million people die of hunger every year in the world. At the end of 2020, 30% of the world's population (more than 2.3 billion people) were deprived of access to adequate food. Reasons for hunger:

Climatic phenomena

In poor agricultural countries, steadily rising average temperatures are increasingly leading to drought, drought to crop failures, and crop failures to famine.

Military conflicts

Despite the Fourth Geneva Convention and the 1977 Additional Protocol prohibiting the use of civilian starvation as a weapon of war, hunger continues to be used as a weapon of war, depriving the civilian population of food and hindering humanitarian assistance.

Irrational use of food

A report by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations indicates that 30% of the food already produced is wasted. Approximately 40% of the food produced in the US is never eaten. In Europe, 100 million tons of food are thrown away every year, and in the world - 1.3 billion tons. “Feeding the world could be done by cutting losses or waste by as little as half,” the report says.

Overpopulation

List of countries with the highest death rate from hunger - countries with the highest population density, lack of natural resources (primarily water), religious prohibitions on birth control. The provision of food aid is only a delay: there is no water or fertile land for the newborns, and the situation is getting worse every year.
